Work undertaken
Over a period of 12 months, a wide variety of post-vis and final shots were delivered. Lots of clean up/ marker removal etc prepping for CG. Bluescreen, rain reduction and a various other tasks.
The Alienist series 2 - The Angel of Darkness
TV - 8 Episodes, Paramount TV
About
One year after The Alienist, with Sara Howard, now a private detective, seeking out Dr Kreizler's help in finding the kidnapped infant daughter of a visiting Spanish dignitary. Dr Kreizler reunites with Sara, John Moore and the rest of the original team, with their search for the missing child bringing them into contact with a mysterious woman with a murderous past who is connected to a notorious gang.
Work undertaken
This was the first fully remote project undertaken and involved a great variety of VFX tasks. Including blood work on walls, bluescreen, set cleanup, wire removals, fixing cobbled streets, splitscreens, and even some cigar removals!
It was good to test out a remote pipeline, uploading directly to Paramount in LA, and working with the VFX supervisor through cinesync in London.
2019
World On Fire

World On Fire is an adrenalized, emotionally gripping and resonant drama following the first year of World War II told through the intertwining fates of ordinary people drawn from Britain, Poland, France, Germany and the United States as they grapple with the effect of the war on their everyday lives.
Work undertaken
Working directly with the production team this was the first show working In-House on my own.
A great variety of tasks including digital restoration of the street scenes, satellite dishes/ariels/alarm boxes/air-con units all removed!
Other work included adding additional boats to the Dunkirk landing sequence, muzzle flashes, blood spurts, spitfires into shots, split screens, smoke plumes added, sign changes above the factory.
This was a really enjoyable show to work on with a great production team.
Chernobyl

About
In April 1986, an explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics becomes one of the world's worst man-made catastrophes.In April 1986, a huge explosion errupted from the Chernobyl nuclear power station in northern Ukraine. This series follows the stories of the men and woman, who tried to contain the disaster, as well as those who gave their lives preventing a subsequent, and unthinkably worse one.
Work undertaken
Working In-House with the production creating post vis shots for various sequences including the main EP2 helicopter crash scene which was then passed on to be completed for final. Also adding the smoke plumes from the burning reactor to help develop the look before these were passed on too. Using Nuke X we roughed out the shots using various 2D smoke and 3D helicopter elements to quickly allow the director/editor to get the look they wanted.
Over 150 shots delivered for final including wig fixes, split screens, painting out modern day artefacts (satellite dishes/air con/cars/lamp posts etc), number plate swops, removing moving cars from shots, and various prosthetic fixes.
2018
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, though he's unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
Work undertaken
Working In-House I post-vis'd various sequences including the large circus scene which had multiple 3D elements/plates stitched together. This was then passed on to the main vendor to match for final.
Also post vis'd the sequence where Dumbledore is on the roof of St Pauls. Working with a matte painter to post-vis the layout.
For final the work included green screen removal, various wig/prosthetic fixes and adding 2D elements into shots.

In mid-20s New York, Newt Scamander, the British young activist wizard, arrives in town, holding a mysterious leather suitcase which shelters a wide array of diverse and magical creatures that exist among us. Amid an already fragile equilibrium of secrecy, and the increasing disasters ascribed to the dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, Newt's precious suitcase will be lost--and to make matters worse--several creatures will manage to escape.
